It occurs when your normal lining of the uterus(endometrial tissues) displaced with a muscular wall. This does not cause any abnormality in function and acts normally but during each cycle, there is heavy and painful bleeding.

Causes of adenomyosis are not clear but there are many assumptions about its occurrence, including:
