It is an benign tumor which arise from the connective tissue and organs around the uterus. In some unfortunate case they can be cancerous tumors.

Sites of adnexal tumors:

• Connective tissue around the ovaries
• Ovaries
• Fallopian tubes

Symptoms

Abdominal fullness, bloating, Pain in lower abdomen, constipation, and increased frequency of urination, abnormal vaginal bleeding

Diagnosis

Diagnosis involves the following procedure:

• Ultrasound
• Xray
• Blood test
• Biopsy

Treatment

Treatment depends upon the size and the extent of tumor surgery is the best option to avoid reoccurrence.
