Chordoma
Chordoma is an infrequent type of bone cancer affecting the bones of skull and spines. Chordoma usually arises in the cells of developing embryo but soon go away. However, some remains and developed into tumors of disk of spine. Rarely these cells become cancerous.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis is done by following methods:
- Biopsy of suspicious cells
- CT scan
- MRI
Treatment
Treatment of this condition include:
- Surgery
- Radiation therapy
- Radio-surgery
- Targeted therapy
- New treatment trials.
