It is defined as the pelvic organ prolapse due to the weakening of muscles and ligaments which held the organ to their places.

Symptoms

• Prolapse of vagina
• Pelvic organ drops in the lower pelvis

• Painful sexual intercourse

Causes

The main cause of pelvic organ prolapses is the physical trauma which cause tearing in the ligaments and damage the muscles.

After taking history and conducting a physical examination your doctor might recommend the ultrasound to check the extend of prolapse.

Treatment

Treatment include the surgical repairment of the ligaments which hold the organs in right places.
