The exact cause of this condition is still unknown but it may assume that certain autoimmune conditions associated with this disorder like rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, lupus syndrome etc.

After taking history and doing physical examination your doctor might recommend the blood test and serum antibodies test to check the IgA deficiency.
Treatment
There is no cure for this disease. Only symptomatic treatment will make the life easy for such patients. Antibiotics will treat the bacterial infection.
