Subconjunctival Hemorrhage , Eye Bleeding
There are tiny blood vessels present just beneath the conjunctiva (clear surface of your eyes) of your eyes when hemorrhage occur in this vessel then it is called subconjunctival hemorrhage.
Symptoms
There is only the red patchy appearance of sclera white portion of your eye. It does not cause any pain and vision change. There is only itching in the eyes.
Causes
Causes of broken blood vessels in the eye include:
- Vomiting

- Powerful sneezing
- Strong coughing
- Straining
- Trauma
- Harshly rubbing to eyes
Complications
Complication due to this condition is uncommon. If it occurs due to any trauma then your doctor might evaluate the other causes which may lead to complication.
Diagnosis
Diagnostic procedure includes:
- Measure the blood pressure
- Conduct the eye examination
- Take the medical history
- Blood test to check the other causes
Treatment
Treatment options include:
- Eye drops
- Artificial tears
- Soothing drops
- Avoid rubbing
