Swimmer’s Itch
It is defined as the itching and rash after the swimming. It is mostly occurred after swimming in fresh water lakes and ponds. Other name of this is cercarial dermatitis. It is cause by the parasites which are commonly lived in water and on some mammals.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms include:

- Reddish pimples
- Blisters
- Redness over the affect area
- Severe itching
Causes
Following parasites causes the swimmer itch:
- Gulls
- Ducks
- Beavers
- Muskrats
- geese
Diagnosis
It is difficult to diagnosis because it mimics the other skin allergic condition like allergic reaction against poison ivy /oak. No serological testing is available for this condition.
Treatment
It can heal on its own in a week. To control the itching your doctor might give you anti histamine.

- Soak the body in salt water
